hai..... Presentations

Continue my story of life. Basiclly, i always busy preparing my presentation slides for my Effective Communication Skills (ECS) and Businesss Management 062. SO, i m having a hard time to find those valid points and fear that my slides is not good since all my freinds are improving. After i edit my slides, i keep changing the content after i see people's presentation.

Finally, i come to the day of my ECS presentation. I m doing on the topic called "Gay Marriage".

At first, my state point is Gay marriage should be legalize but then i found most of the evidence was not valid enough and bias. So, i end up by saying that gay marriage cannot be legalize. i was quit nervous during my presentation and keep saying the wrong thing. hai.... so careless. After that, i just waiting fopr my marks to come out and i get 19.3% / 30%. My lecturer said that i m very weak in my intonation which is the tone that we use to speak and i was not confident enough that time. I feel a sudden dissapointed but i think i can get over it by improving myself.

Later, is my Business Management presentation again. It is a group Project and we manage to present well although our marks is the lowest in the class, 60.5% / 80%.

I then finally realize that i have to improve more on my presentation skills. hai.... wish the best for me... ^_^ "

The free Week!

After the prom, i only keep myself busy and busy coz a lot of research to do due to complete my 2000 words essay and my ECS presentation before i present and pass it up. Well, i almost become crazy because of this coz i have been so stressful and fear that i cannot complete my task. Oh welpl, free week finally arrive and i can take some break. All my frenz have gone back to their hometown but me...... still in Miri. So, i plan to stay at my frenz house for a week. Thats why i did not get a chance to online and update my blog. Hai............... Well, th ewhole free week i doing nothing despite completing my Effective Communication Skills (ECS) presentation. No Kang Tao for me and i m extremely boring for juz staying in the house. hai....... But finally semester begin again and all my frenz come back to me. heheheh........

Ahhhhhh the prom!!!!

Now, i will going to talk about the prom. I arrived at Marriott Hotel around 7pm to check in into the room. After that, me n my sweeheart go to the hall to quee up to get into the ball room. As soon as we step into it, the entrance was full of white mast as if we are in heaven. when we move into the ball room, i saw people with white clothing was glowing. Then i know it is bcoz of the special light they apply this morning. Soon, the prom nite begin. At first, there were welcoming speeches from the Dean and the Provice Chancellor of Curtin University of Technology Sarawak Campus. Then, its dinner time. The dishes during that nite is very nice(but not all). We really enjoy our dinner because we also enjoy the performance by a few students in Curtin and EVEN the President of Student Council, Benet Leong!!! After that we have an event which is the climaks of the nite - Prom Queen n Prom King!! Five girls candidates and guys candidates have been choosen at first and the audience, thats us have to vote them. The most exciting part is when the Prom King has been selected, he has vanished(i think he went home already). So, the Prom King for the night is Daryll How-The President of Curtin Volunteers! (CV!). As for the Prom Queen for the night is Chua lee kiut. She is damn beautiful!(if i can post up the pics) The prom nite ends with a disco dance and love songs. I got a chance to dance with my sweeheart. heheheh.......... AFter that, we go back to our room, take our bath and we went out with our frenz strolling in the hotel. We discover that we can online wireless at the restaurant. Finally, we went back to th eroom and sleep. I still remember that time is around 4am(the most crazy people who did not sleep). So, here ends the prom nite. I think that the prom nite is not very successfull bcoz we expected more fun. Thats all from me. Chao!

After a busy week, the day that i always hope finally arrive. Curtin University of Technology Sarawak is organizing a prom nite and i m going that nite that is tomolo(22 October 2005). I have been so excited to wait for this day. The ticket per person is RM 44 and for outsider its RM 55. Wow!!! Imagine how expensive it is. The prom is going to held at Mariott hotel in Miri. I get a chance to stay there for one nite. I beg it will be fun!!! So, stay tuned coz i will going to talk about it after the prom so u ppl will know what happen that nite. ^_^

Finally

Hai...... finally i finish doing my persuasive essay. It is really a relieve.(Amen) Now, i only have to wait for the feedback and complete the final draft tonight. heheheh...............

BAck Again!!!!!!!

Ah, so sooooRRrrrYYYyyy that i did not post new posts a long time already because i m busy and also unwilling. But now, i m back!

This semester is totally new for me and it is very challenging! :P i have a totally new subjects that i never learn b4 in high school especially Accounting. Oh MAn!!!! It is very hard coz i didn't hav ethe basic skill of accounting. I even have many assignments and presentation to do. I hope and wish i can cope with it well. (Amen)

For now i m doing my Persuasive essay. I m doing a topic on Violence in school and my issue topic is 'Should Parents Be Blamed for Violence in School?' It requires me to do a lot of searching on line to get the information that i wanted coz i have to do In-text Referencing as supporting details for my points. It is a tough job for me but i think i can do it well. (Be Confident!! ^-^)

And now some of the assessment and test is going on and near so i have to keep up a good job(Kampate!!). I will have my MAthematic quiz every week; my accounting Mid-Term (sucks); and Business Management Quiz(Interesting). All the marks are counted in the 100% (tats y i m working SOOoooo hard).

I have join a function Yesterday. Our campus has held a picnic at Taman Selera in Miri with our campus's IEP students. They are all from around the world. Basiclly, IEP means Intensive English Program. It is for the students that is weak in English b4 they can go to foundation or degree. ANd of course, we have to communicate with them using English but i end up using chinese to communicate with them :P . During the activities, the mayor of Miri George Chan has come to visit us and have a photo session with us( will post up the pic soon). We really have a fun time with them.

Information Technology 061

Last week we have IT lecture with Miss Slyvia Chin. We learned about multimedia and hypermedia. Multimedia is a combination of graphic art, text, video elements, and animations. Hyperlink is a structure of linked elements that can be navigated from one to another. Well, Miss Slyvia have a quiz last week. Our group only manage to gain one mark. Hehe..... make all of us blush! The questions were good because it is included in my assignment that i did last time. I really released my tension after the IT lecture because i just had my Economics 061 test before the lecture. Hehehe.........

Commerce Maths 061

We have our lecture last Friday and we only saw a few 'rats' only. Many student did not attend the lecture (maybe it is too early). The topic that we studied on that day is about Logarithma. It is very fun because it is my favourite topic and it is so challenged.
Actually. before that i did not sleep almost for the whole night to finish my assignment. As the result, i was very sleepy and could not even walk and talk properly. Obviously, all the topics that Miss Crystal taught were in my secondary school syllabus already. I just revising all of it. Thats all for today. hehe....

Critical Reading And Thingking Skills

I am pretty good last week because i recovered from my sickness already. Hah!!! that is very good start for me for last week. But i have sorethroat again this week.
Last week in Critical Reading and Thinking Skills, i have learned about academic writing skill. Miss Anita asked us to define academic writing skill and we having problem. Hehe....
There were four of us in the group to discuss the homework that had been given by her..
We are very noisy during the discussion but Miss Anita said thta we so quiet. :P Actually, i got some problem during that lesson because i cannot understand what she is teaching. I think i can get it soon. :D

Anything else you would like to let me know about what you think or feel about my class?

I like this class very much because i can touch computer and learn many things. I enjoyed to be in the class. Hehe..... WEll, that is all from me.

What would you like me to differently in class so that you can learn better?

Actually, Miss Slyvia is very good already. Just.. she just have to be MOrE friendly. I think the other classmates would love it.

What are you not happy about my class?

Actually....... i have nothing that i am not happy with. Just one thing... the chatting window, i will find out how to do it!!!!

What are you most Happy in my class?

That will be when the lecturer viewed my work and praise me that i have done a good job. Hehe....

What would you lose if you had to miss my class???

Actually, of course the things that teach on that day lah!! So, i have to catch up with my friends loh!

Are there anything that I do in class that makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and accepted in my class?

Actually, i did not notice because i never feel uncomfortable in this class. I do my work and sometimes joke with Miss Slyvia... just like that and i having fun in every class i attend. :D

What are the things that I do in class that you want to attend to my class?

It is the rule that student have to attend their class, that's all. If we did not attend, that means we wasting our money.

Eh..... just to get attendance. Nolah. Its just.... i have class and i should have go to class bah! A simple reason. We also learn how to acceess internet and using microsoft office.

17-24 April

Hi Guys! Sory 4 not updating my blog coz i m so busy since last week n till now too. Anyway, i m going to talk about wat happen last week. After i have been chosen 4 CV!Apprentice, i n my other family have a project named "CLEAR AFTER MEAL CAMPAIGN" to do n we r working on it. Tis campaign is to ensure tat students in campus will clear their plates n sent them back to the canteen operator. By doing tis, the number of FLIES n BIRDS will decrease n we may have a good environment to enjoy our meal n study. I m the 1 who create the notice n bookmark wit my frens, n i help to do the banner as well. We have been working 4 a day n finally we complete our job. After tat, Mr Abel bring us 4 dinner n go DeSert 4 a cup of ais-cream. Mr Abel share his life experience wit us n i cry coz it is sOoo touching n tragedi. We r so happy tat we move our 1st steps towards the campaign.

Besides, i have been chosen to take part in cultural dance. i have to practice a whole week start from 7 to 9pm. At 1st, i m having hard time to get use to the steps but i m willing to do coz it was my responsibility n i m not going to give up. I also joining 4 the chear leading, dance group n choir group in campus. So, i will be extremely busy coz i still have 2 assignment n a history presentation to work on. So, tis is my university life. Hehe....

I will update my blog as soon as i got time. Stay tune!!!

Critical Reading N Thinking Skills(25-26 April)

Hi, tis week Miss Anita Jimmie teach us new things that a little bit hard to understand. The topic is about Partial Claims And Half Truths. Everyday we see many advertisement. They claim their product better then any product but some of the claims were untrue. The claim sounds like fact, but it misleading. They play tricks in words. Due to tis topic, Miss Anita Jimmie Borrow us some magazine to read about the advertisements inside n try to find the claims tat could be misleading. After tat, we have to present the other day.
Tis is 4 today, i will be continued next week.

11 April - 16 April

Tis week was a so-so week 4 me. My schedule 4 tis week was full n i have to pass up my History Assingment n be prepared 4 my presentation 4 my Moral Studies. Finally, my assignment should be hanging up latest by wednesday but a few of my friends n me delay it until Friday. Oh!!!! I have to work so hard on that.

4 my Critical Reading, i have an assessment n that's SOOOooooooo difficult!!! Oh Gosh!! Don dare to wait 4 the result!!!

As 4 the Moral studies, i actually producing a slide to present the sketch called 'heaven n hell'. Our group was very co-operated and putting efforts on it. We doing our sketch successfully. My group n i were so proud of ourselves!!! Yeah!!!! :D

On Wednesday, there was a blood donation drive in my campus. I was on duty on that day coz i was the 'CV' which is state 4 Curtin Volunteers. U have to registered urself b4 u donate ur blood. Then, they will test ur blood preesure, ur blood type n whether u can donate ur blood o not. Eventhough i m not donating(coz i m still underage), i test 4 my blood type. Actually, i don dare to try it but after i see my fren all checking their blood type, i finally encourage myself to try. As i sit down, i regret. :P When i saw the needle is coming towards me, i definately wanted to cry oledi!!!! :( N then my frens tried to remove my attention n when the needle actually 'sting' my hand, i scream n everyone were laughing at me. At last, i know my blood type that is A+. Honestly, i won try anymore! Ithink i will faint when i see the big needle when they use to donate blood!!!!!!

On the same day, i m going home to have a nap but i have an emergency called that i going to interview by the 'CV' n i finally succeed.

Critikal Reading & Thinking Skills( 11 April 2005 )

2day, Miss Anita Jammie only give us an exercise tat is our revision due to our assessment 2molo. After we did our exercise, we discuss about the answers n my result is just quite good.
The question tat Miss Anita Jammie gave us was a bit challenging. So, i m a bit worried about the assessment 2molo. The assessment is 15% from 100%. U can imagine tat. So, i just need to learn n learn. Hahaha...

I will post the result as soon as my teacher give it to me. ^_^

4 April - 8 April

I mention tat i was not in the good mood last week in 'hello!!'. Well, tis week i felt better. I start to get use living here. I become more stronger n cry less n less. Everything seems to back to normal coz most of my problems had settle down. I m so happy n relax 4 tis week. Everyone said tat i m changed. I m no longer noisy, playful n always wear T-shirts. Hei guys, let me tell u, i just begin to become a 'Busy - Body'! I have an Heeavy History assignment to do n i need to prepared 4 my exam. But i admmit tat i have changed a little bit, mentally.

I often felt asleep in my history class tis week. I try to concentrate n concentrate but i failed. I m so sorry, MR. B_ _ _ _!!!! The most interesting subject is Commerce Maths coz its my favourite subject!!! Yeah!!! I m doing simplyfying equations 4 tis week n its fun!

My Critical Reading teacher tat is Miss Anita Jammie always saw me yawning in the class n i think she begin to fed up coz i keep yawning non stop in the class. Miss, if u read tis, Don angry hah coz i m not boring in ur class n i like ur class but i just don know why i keep yawning in class. Hehe......

Well, i have to continue my History Assignment : ( liao. I will post again next week. Heheh.......

Critical Reading N Thinking Skills

2day we still doing Reading Skills- Making Inferences. Its just same like the things we studied on 4 April 2005, just its more complicated n u have to guess the mesning in the text. Miss Anita Jammie teach us how to built Inference Skills. Below is the notes given by Miss Anita Jamie:-

Building Inference Skills

Read beyond the words. Fill in details n information based on the writer's suggestions n ur own expectation.

Question urself about ur reading: Why is tis person doing wat she is doing? What can i infer from the scene? Supply the answers on the basis of the writer's hints n ur own knowledge.

If a writer describe a person, try to understand the person from how she moves, wat she says, wat she looks like. U can infer things about character from the way a person behave. Build a picture of the person in ur mind, based ur picture on the writer's description of how she acts n wat she looks like.

If u cannot easily answer a question about wat u have read, remember to use inference skills. Return to the part of the reading where u would expect to find the answer. Then see if the writer suggests something that u urself have to supply more explicity.

I hope u ppl can get some idea after u read tis.

Critical Reading&Thinking Skill

Today Miss Anita Jammie( my lovely Teacher) teach us about Context Clues to Word Meaning (it means u can guess wats the meaning of the word by reading the sentences.

We start our class with tis few questions:

1. Pour some glip into a blob. When the glip is heated, take out and serve on a basushka.

2. To succeed you must work hard and earn a lot of jumwimper.

3. Petrificus!! Listen up or you won't be able to answer the silatus later!

4. Break two likidus into a pan and you will get some nice scrambled ones.

5. Park the chug-a-chug at the side of the road.

Try to get the answers 4 the words n u not able find them in the dictionary.

We all r shock n miserable when we saw tis question. Only a few words come across my brain tat is 'wah lao yeh n wat is tat' ??????

After we done the questions, Miss Anita taught us how to use sentences hint 4 word meaning.

I just want to say todays class is interesting n i hope everyone will enjoy it.

The bad thing is,
ASSESSMENT IS COMING!!!!!!

hello!!!

Tis is my first post in my blog n i m so sorry, Miss Anita Jammie, coz i start it now. I will be posting stuffs about critical reading n thinking skills starting next week. For tis post, i just mention about myself.

First, i have to take about 15 hours journey to come to Miri from Kuching. I just eat n sleep, sleep n eat in the car. I only got 1 thing to say ' OH MY GOSH!!!!!! '. When i arrive here, my parents still wit me 4 a week to settle down my house n ........
u know.

Then, my family finally leave me after the orientation night. At first, i m not feeling sad n miserable coz my heart full of curiousness. But after 2 or 3 weeks, i began to feel like want to go home n just study at Swimburne but i told myself tat i must be a strong girl coz i m the eldest n the most independent girl in my family.

Tis 4 days, i feel suxx (sorry 4 speaking tat) n always cry n cry n cry.......... i canot stop crying. Luckily 1 of my fren always stay beside me n comfort me n sometimes 'tis fren' just angry in order to motivate me. I only got 1 thing to say ' Thank U very much , i will appreciate tis '.

Miss Anita Jammie, if i have some grammar mistake, u can tell me. Thank u. I hope u din cry too after u read my blog. Haha.......
